Reggie Wayne

Reggie Wayne was born on November 17th, 1978 in New Orleans, Louisiana. Wayne began playing football at John Ehret High School and later went on to play for the University of Miami. In college, Wayne set school records at the receiver position. Over his 4 years in college, Wayne played in 43 games, scored 20 touchdowns and had 2,510 receiving yards. After college, Wayne went on to the professional level when he was drafted 30th overall by the Indianapolis Colts.

Wayne joined the Colts in 2001 and began playing with a powerful offense consisting of quarterback Peyton Manning and veteran receiver Marvin Harrison. In his rookie year, Wayne played in 13 games and had 345 receiving yards with no touchdowns. In his second year, Wayne played in all 16 games and scored 4 touchdowns and tallied up 716 receiving yards. In his 3rd season with the Colts, Wayne scored 7 touchdowns and had 838 receiving yards. Wayne recorded his best season in his 4th year; gaining 1,210 receiving yards and 12 touchdowns. In his 5th season, Wayne scored 5 touchdowns and had 1,055 receiving yards. In 2006, Wayne recorded 9 touchdowns with 1,310 receiving yards and in 2007 he had 10 touchdowns with 1,510 yards. In the 2008 season, Wayne scored 6 touchdowns and 1,145 receiving yards.

In his 8 seasons with the Colts, Wayne has scored a total of 53 touchdowns and recorded 8,129 receiving yards. With the 2009 season approaching, Wayne should expect to be the number 1 receiver with the recent release of veteran receiver Marvin Harrison.
