Marvin Daniel Harrison was born in August of 1972 in Philadelphia. He is a wide receiver and used to play for the Indianapolis Colts. As of right now, he is a free agent. Harrison and Manning are considered one of the best offensive tandems to team up on the field. They also hold several records because of it. When Harrison was in high school he played in football, basketball, soccer, and tennis. These sports caused him to stand out in his athleticism. He was a 3 year starter at Syracuse along with teammate, Donovan McNabb set national records. Harrison then graduated with a degree in retailing.
Harrison was picked in first round, 19th selection by the Colts in 1996. It was acquired by a trade and Jeff George went to Atlanta Falcons because of this. In 2002, Harrison beat the record for single season receptions. In 2006 he was the fourth player in history to hit a record of 1000 receptions. He also reached 100 touchdowns which was one out of seven wide receivers in history to accomplish this. With a knee injury in 2007, he was not able to play that season.
In 2008, Marvin Harrison asked the Colts for release from the team and was. On May 11th of this year he signed with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers for two years. Today, Harrison is in legal dispute because of a shooting outside a business that he owned. It was proven the shots were fired from Harrison’s gun but the actual shooter was not able to be identified. Dwight Dixon was the one shot and sued Harrison in 2008, but in 2009, Dixon was convicted of filing a false report.
