Peyton Manning

Like his brother Eli, Payton Manning was born to play football. Their father, Archie Manning, was the star quarterback at Ole Miss and had a very successful 13-year career in the NFL.

Manning was born and raised in New Orleans, LA and led his high school team to a 35 win and five loss record as a starter for three years. In 1993, he was named as the National Offensive Player of the Year by the Columbus Ohio Touchdown Club as well as the Gatorade High School Player of the Year.

While attending The University of Tennessee, he became the school’s all time leading passer while compiling a starting record of 39 wins and six losses. In 1997, he won the award of NCAA Quarterback of the Year.

In the 1998 NFL draft, Manning was drafted No. 1 by the Indianapolis Colts and was named to the 1998 NFL Rookie First Team while setting five NFL rookie records. In 11 seasons as the starting quarterback of the Colts, Manning has won MVP of the NFL three times, has lead his team to a Super Bowl Victory in 2006 and was named Super Bowl MVP.

In 1999, Manning established the Peyback Foundation to promote the future success of disadvantaged youth. He works with youth groups in Indiana, Tennessee and the New Orleans area. In 1997, the St. Vincent’s Hospital of Indianapolis renamed its children’s hospital after Peyton Manning.

Along with his huge success on the field, he has become the most marketable player for the NFL and has numerous television commercials and has also hosted NBC’s Saturday Night Live.
