Reggie Wayne

Reggie Wayne is one of the starting wide receivers for the Indianapolis Colts. Reggie grew up in Marrero, Louisiana and was a two sport athlete, competing in both football and track. In high school football, he was a two time all state honoree. After high school, Reggie went on to college to play football at the University of Miami. While there, he set receiving records for most receptions, most consecutive games with a reception and was one of three receivers to ever post 20 or more touchdown receptions. Unlike a lot of players bound for the NFL during college, Reggie did obtain his degree in Liberal arts before entering the pros.

In 2001, Reggie Wayne was drafted by the Indianapolis Colts with the 30th pick overall. Reggie's first year was steady for a first year receiver but he did not catch any touchdown passes. After his first year with the Colts, his numbers started to grow. After becoming a full time starter in 2003, Reggie Wayne became a threat on the field catching 12 of Peyton Manning’s league record 49 touchdown passes.

In 2006, Reggie Wayne signed a long term six year deal with the Colts. This is also the year Reggie helped the Colts beat the Chicago Bears in the Super Bowl with a 53 yard touchdown catch. Reggie stepped up in the star role for the Colts as they battled injuries to their wide receivers and is now the premier receiver after Marvin Harrison left the team in 2009.
