Peyton Manning

Peyton Manning, one of three sons born to Olivia and Archie Manning, followed in his father's footsteps, becoming a great football quarterback. His father, Archie, played for the New Orleans Saints, but was then traded to the Oilers, and then, the Vikings.

Peyton loved football. When he was 3 years old, he was already playing catch with his older brother, Cooper. He and Cooper loved to challenge each other at everything. This caused Peyton to always do his best, no matter what it was. When he was a bit older, he loved to listen to his dad while he was playing. He did well in high school through college, and amassed many awards and honors. Not only did he do well on the football field, he did well in school, and his grades were always good. It seemed like his life was perfect, though there were some shadows, such as the spinal problem which prevented Cooper from playing football and the amount of time Archie spent away from home due to his football career.

After college, he went to the Indianapolis Colts in 1998, and there he has received many awards, including 3 MVPs. Steve Young is the only other player who has also received three. With Peyton at the helm, the Colts have done very well and won Super Bowl XLI in 2006. He not only is a great player, he is a very generous man and, through his “Peyback Foundation,” has helped many kids. He has donated thousands for many different causes. He has won honors for helping the community as well as for his skill in football.
