Peyton Manning, born on March 24th, 1976, is the quarterback of the Indianapolis Colts and wears the number 18. Manning comes from a family that is full of athletes; his father, Archie Manning, played professional football as well as his brother Eli. Peyton strove to play football at the professional level just like his famous father.
Manning graduated from Isidore Newman High School, where he earned the title of Gatorade Circle of Champions Player of the Year. After playing for his high school football team, Manning furthered his education and brought his football talents to the University of Tennessee. Manning had a very successful college career and currently holds the schools all time passing leader title.
After college, Manning was selected in the 1998 draft with the number one pick for the Indianapolis Colts. Over the course of his career with the Colts, Manning has thrown 333 touchdowns and only 165 interceptions. He has passed for 45,628 yards. Manning holds multiple Colt records as well as tandem records with receiver Marvin Harrison. Manning has been selected to the Pro Bowl nine times and was the MVP in 2005. Manning has led his team to one Super Bowl victory.
Peyton Manning currently still plays for the Colts and lives with his wife of eight years and college sweetheart, Ashley Manning. Along with football, he has many endorsement deals and makes appearances on some television shows. Manning can be seen on multiple commercials, many of them showcasing his good sense of humor.
