Adam Vinatieri

Adam Vinatieri is the place kicker for the 2007 NFL Super Bowl Champion Indianapolis Colts. He has been on their team since 2006 and was a big part of their Super Bowl winning season.

He just turned 36 years old and fans will have to see what stage he is at in his career. He has been in the league for 14 years and has had great success as a kicker. His longevity and success already predisposes the idea that he is at the end of his career.

He has played in five Super Bowls and out of the four wins he has been involved in, he had the game winning field goal in two of them. He kicked the game winner in New England's first Super Bowl win to beat St. Louis 20-17, and the other was a final kick over Carolina for a 32-29 Super Bowl win. He is the only kicker in the history of NFL to complete this feat and currently holds both of the game-winning footballs. He finished his 10-year career with the New England Patriots with a team high score of 1,158 points and three Super Bowl wins.

He currently plays for the Indianapolis Colts and shows no signs of slowing up. He has one Super Bowl win with his new team. He has been nominated as a Pro Bowler two times and currently holds eight of the place kicker records like most field goals post season, most field goals in Super Bowls with seven and other accomplishments.

His almost flawless career and post season records have given him the nicknames of "Automatic Adam" or "Iceman.”
