Former Indianapolis Colts Players

The Indianapolis Colts belong to the National Football League in the American Football conference (AFC). Today they are considered a force to tangle with as they were years ago when the retired players, Flipper Anderson and Cornelius Bennett, played. Both played during different eras, but both are very memorable players of the team.

Flipper Anderson started his football career with the Los Angeles Rams and played with them for six years. From there, he played just one year each with the Indianapolis Colts, Washington Redskins and Denver Broncos. He holds the National Football League record for the most receiving yards in a game. The record reads 336 yards on fifteen receptions, and that record still holds strong today.

Cornelius Bennett was a five time pro bowler and won the AFC defensive player of the year award twice. Bennett started out as a line backer for the Buffalo Bills and stayed with them for eight years. After that, he moved on to the Atlanta Falcons for another two years. He finally joined the Indianapolis Colts where he remained for one year. Bennett is now considering himself a stay-at-home dad with his daughter and son. Bennett is very child oriented and wants to do what he can for them. He is very active in charities like the Ronald McDonald House. He plays a golf tournament every year for the charity and recently raised over $400,000 for them. Bennett mentors children when he can and resides in the area of Miami, Florida these days.
