Marvin Daniel Harrison is considered to be the most productive receiver in Colts history. Harrison was drafted by the Indianapolis Colts in the first round (19th overall) of the 1996 National Football League (NFL) Draft.
Harrison was Born August 25, 1972 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He was drafted from the University of Syracuse. At 6 feet, 175 pounds, Harrison came screaming into the NFL, becoming an eight-time Pro Bowler and three-time first-team All-Pro. Harrison, #88, has played in 13 seasons in the NFL, all of which has been with the Indianapolis Colts.
Some stats to date for Harrison are being number two in NFL history with 1,102 passes caught for 14,580 yards and 128 touchdowns, all of which have been with the Indianapolis Colts. Holding the Colts' single-season and career receiving leader in catches, yardage and touchdowns, Harrison has set himself above former colt and Hall-of-Famer, Raymond Berry.
This American football player is most recognized for his 2002 NFL season accomplishments that over achieved any other receiver in the NFL. Also, with the outstanding performance given by Harrison in 2002, he shattered the single season reception record holder, Herman Moore's stats, by 20 receptions.
Harrison and his longtime Colts quarterback Peyton Manning are looked at as one of the best ever offensive tandems in NFL history. The two NFL stars hold several records for a quarterback-wide receiver tandem. Harrison is being strongly looked at as the first balloted Hall of Fame candidate once he retires.
