Anthony Gonzalez

Anthony Gonzalez was a very successful college football player. He played for Ohio State University, one of the most prestigious football colleges in the country. He played with many other successful receivers, including Santonio Holmes and Ted Ginn Jr. During his college career, he had thirteen touchdown receptions.

During his rookie year, Gonzalez started in nine games. He recorded three touchdowns in the season and had two games with over one hundred yards receiving. He tied for second in club history with one hundred yard receiving games. His biggest play during the season was a fifty-five yard touchdown reception in the fourth quarter of the AFC Divisional Playoff Game to give the Colts a fourth quarter lead.

His second year was a little more successful. He started in only two games but appeared in all sixteen. He had four touchdown receptions and fifty-seven total receptions. His junior year was his most successful. He started in 11 of the team's twelve games. He did struggle in the two most important games he played with the team. During the Fiesta Bowl against Notre Dame, he had one reception for fifteen yards. In the 2007 BCS Championship against Florida, he was held to two receptions for eleven yards.

Gonzalez now plays for the Indianapolis Colts. He has had a very promising start to his career and will be much more successful once veteran receiver Marvin Harrison retires and Gonzalez moves into a starting role.
