Adam Vinatieri

Adam Vinatieri is the place kicker for the Indianapolis Colts, and is considered one of the best clutch kickers in NFL history. Having won 2 Super Bowls, with last second field goals, has a lot to do with this consideration. He has accomplished a lot in his 13 year career and has solidified himself as one of the best all-time NFL kickers.

Adam Vinatieri started his career with the New England Patriots and made his first of 5 Super Bowls his rookie season. His first Super Bowl was one to be forgotten, but he more than made up for this loss with the other 3 Super Bowls he played in with the Patriots. His most memorable playoff experience was the 2001 playoffs, as he kicked 3 big kicks to get them to the championship. In the AFC title game against the Raiders, he kicked a field goal to send the game to overtime and then won the game in overtime. He then kicked the game winning field goal in the Super Bowl to give the Patriots the first title in the Belichick era. Two years later he would once again be called on to win the game, and nailed the game winning kick to send the Patriots to their second title in 3 years. He left the Patriots after the 2005 season, and ended up signing with the Colts and helped lead them to the Super Bowl title his first year with the team.

He has won 4 Super Bowl titles, been selected to a Pro Bowl and All-Pro team 2 times, and has made 82% of his kicks while in the league, so his resume speaks for itself. He is already one of the best ever, and has a chance to be the best ever before his career comes to an end.
