Bob Sanders is 27-year-old professional athlete that hails from Erie, Pennsylvania. He is a NFL player for the Indianapolis Colts. Sanders is one of the best NFL defensive players and has proven that by winning the Defensive Player Award.
As a freshman player he was called the "Hit-man" because of his hard hits. It is a well known fact that he was such a hard hitter that even at practice, his teammates did not want to go up against him. Over the years, he has also been called "The Eraser," which coach Dungy tagged him with. He has been called "The Sandman" as well. Sanders loves to play football and it shows in his game. Everyone who knows him says that he is a great player and a great guy. Sanders is a very likable person who gets along with everyone.
He received a 37 million dollar contract on December 28, 2007, after leading the Colts to victory in the 2006 Super Bowl. He also won the Super Bowl ring in The Super Bowl XL1. It is amazing that he plays so well, as he is not very tall for a football player. He only stands at 5'8'' tall. His height does not tell how big of a man he really is though. Sanders has a big heart and has started The Chasing Dreams Foundation that is for high school students. It is to help them to prepare for college. Could Coach Dungy be an influence on his kind generosity?
