Marvin Harrison was born in 1972 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. When he was in Syracuse University he broke a couple of school records. One of them being the national record with 2,718 career receiving yards. He is also ranked second in the schools history with 20 receiving touchdowns.
Marvin Harrison was chosen by the Indianapolis Colts in 1996. The position that Marvin plays is wide receiver, and in this position he has been very impressive. Harrison is the fourth player in NFL history to record 1000 receptors and is one of seven Wide receivers in NFL history to reach 100 touchdowns. Harrison and Peyton Manning are an amazing team together. Harrison is the "go to guy" for Peyton. When there is a long pass to be made, most of the time Peyton will look for Marvin to be there for him.
In a game against the Denver Broncos in 2003, Peyton Manning threw a 20 yard pass to Harrison. Harrison was able to take this pass and run it fifty yards for a touchdown. The Colts went on to win this game 41-10 leaving Harrison with two touchdowns and seven receptions for 133 yards. In 2007 again against the Broncos, Harrison went for a block causing himself a knee injury. This put him out for the rest of the season. This was only the first time he has missed a season since 1998. Proving this injury can't hold him down, Harrison is back for the 2008 season like nothing ever happened.
