Indianapolis Colts 2008 Lineup

Peyton Manning (Quarterback), Joseph Addai (Running Back), Marvin Harrison (Wide Receiver), Dwight Freeney (Defensive End), Dominic Rhodes (Running Back), Brandon Stokely (Wide Receiver), Reggie Wayne (Wide Receiver), Tim Jennings (Cornerback), Melvin Bullitt (Safety), Marlin Jackson (Cornerback) are just a few of the names which make up the Indianapolis Colts and Coach, Tony Dungy understands that many unwarranted penalties are what have made his team get off to a bad start this season.

In the past week, the Colts have lost several consecutive games for the first time in seven years. Quarterback, Peyton Manning has been experiencing some injuries that allow the coaching staff to be skeptical of his abilities. However, due to this quarterbacks extraordinary determination, Manning continues to start despite his injuries. Many feel Manning will eventually get well, but his two knee surgeries assist in the inconsistency of his throwing ability. The Colt’s offensive line is also struggling with consistency, as the health of their offensive lineman has been an issue as well.

As he is known to be one of the best quarterbacks in the league, Peyton is expected to get stronger as the season progresses and play up to has full potential. Although the 25 year old, Running Back, Joseph Addai is suffering from a hamstring injury, he is expected to back on top by week 10 of the football season. Now taking over his position until he gets better is rookie Dominic Rhodes.

Wide Receiver, Marvin Harrison is part of the Colt’s starting linemen alongside Peyton Manning. He holds several records as a wide receiver and in 2006 he became the fourth player to record 1,000 receptions and is one of the only wide receivers to catch 100 touchdowns.

As the season progresses the Indianapolis Colts have a lot of catching up to do coming from a NFL Super bowl team to a team that has not started out on a good season.
