Anthony Gonzales's Career with the Colts

Anthony E. Gonzales is an American football wide receiver who currently plays for the National Football League’s Indianapolis Colts. He was selected by the Colts during the 2007 NFL draft to be a slot receiver. He wears jersey number eleven.

In 2007, his first season with the Indianapolis Colts, as a rookie he started in nine out of thirteen games, and he caught thirty-seven passes for 576 yards and three touchdowns. He suffered a hand injury that prevented him from playing in several games.

The 2008 season will prove to be different for Gonzales. With Marvin Harrison back in the game, Gonzales will be the third wide receiver. He will not have full time on the field. In the first game of the season, he had five receptions for forty-eight yards while the Colts suffered a loss to Chicago. In game two on September 14, he had nine receptions for 137 yards. With Dallas Clark hurt, he had more playing time, as the Colts defeated Minnesota. In the third game this season on October 5, Anthony Gonzales had one catch for three yards before suffering a concussion. On the October 12 game, he did suit up and play despite the previous week's concussion. He had four receptions for thirty-three yards. Playtime could still be tough as he struggles behind Reggie Wayne, Marvin Harrison and possibly Dallas Clark as a wide receiver. Up until now, in the 2008 season, he has played in six games, caught twenty-six passes for 330 yards, and has scored no touchdowns.

It will be interesting to see how the rest of the season plays out for Anthony Gonzales.
