Bob Sanders was born in Erie, Pennsylvania on February 24, 1981. He played football throughout his elementary, high school and college years. The 5’8”, 206 pound football star is now an amazing safety for the Indianapolis Colts; he joined the team in 2004 during the second round of the NFL draft.
His first year on the Colts roster he was a hit, later in his NFL career “the Hitman“ to be exact, for his aggressive and hard tackles. He mange to start six games his rookie year and make 34 tackles. Bob Sanders earned a spot on the starting lineup for the first 13 games of the 2005 season. He also played in the Pro Bowl the following year as a safety for the AFC Team. After accomplishing such a big goal, Sanders had a knee injury that only prohibited him to play four games the 2006 regular season. Sanders also was honored for the defensive player of the week for 2007. At the end of 2007 Bob Sanders was signed to a five year contract; it was a 37 million dollar contract that enables him to be the highest paid safety ever. Unfortunately Bob Sanders had to sit out for a number of weeks due to a sprang ankle during the second game of the season.
Bob sanders is an amazing football player. He has made copious tackles, sacks, and interceptions throughout his NFL career. These numbers will continue to grow, because this wonderful defensive player is only in the early years of his NFL career.
