Peyton Manning

Peyton Manning is the 32 year old, 6 foot 5 inch quarterback of the Indianapolis Colts football team. Manning was born in New Orleans, Louisiana to Archie and Olivia Manning. Archie Manning was a quarterback for the New England Saints when he was a young man. Today, Archie Manning is the father of two National Football League quarterbacks, Peyton with the Colts and Eli with the New York Giants.

Manning is thought to be one of the best quarterbacks playing the game today. During his career, Manning has attempted 5,629 passes, completing 3,604 for a total of 43,157 yards. He has thrown 314 touchdown passes and has been intercepted 160 times.

He also holds the NFL record for most seasons with over 4000 passing yards. He is the all time Colts leader for passing yards and passing touchdowns.

He went to college at the University of Tennessee where he became their all time leading passer with 11,201 yards and 89 touchdowns. He had an outstanding college career and was ultimately drafted by the Indianapolis Colts in the 1998 draft and was picked number one in the first round. To date, his entire professional football career has been with the Colts.

During the summer months Peyton and his wife, Eli and his wife, and father Archie, run the Manning Passing Academy located at Nicholls State University in Thibodaux, Louisiana. The camp is for four days and addresses the needs of quarterbacks, running backs, tight ends and wide receivers. Children attending must be between ninth grade and seniors in high school.
